In het jaar 2022 hebben meer dan 35 duizend personen voor het eerst een asielverzoek ingediend in Nederland. Dit aantal ligt 44 procent hoger dan in het voorgaande jaar. De toename van asielverzoeken laat zien dat er een groeiende behoefte is aan bescherming en onderdak voor mensen die hun thuisland ontvluchten.<\/p>\n
